Trinity Classical Academy Admissions Process

Completion of the following items is required for your family to move forward in the application process:

  1. Attend a TCA Informational Meeting You may attend an info meeting up to 24 months in advance of application. If two years or more have passed, we ask that you attend an Info Meeting again.

  2. Complete Online Student Application & Reference Forms Applications are made available after the first Info Meeting of the year.

  3. Pay $250 Non-Refundable Application Fee  This fee is per application and refunded only if there is no space available for the student to attend or if TCA determines through the application process that the student or family is not a good fit.

  4. Complete Student Academic Assessment or Readiness Testing Applicants entering Grade 1 and higher complete an academic assessment. Applicants entering Kindergarten complete Kindergarten Readiness Testing. PreK applicants do not require any entry-level testing.

  5. On Campus Student Visit (Grade 3 and higher) Applicants will visit a grade level class on campus for one school day.

After all application components are submitted and reviewed, TCA will invite advancing students for a sit-down Q & A meeting between family and TCA admissions staff. If applicable, TCA will schedule the On Campus Student Visit and Academic Assessment for the applicant.

After the Q & A, applicants will receive a letter of acceptance/denial or an invitation to join the wait pool. See Admissions Timeline below for dates and more detail about the enrollment process.

If you have attended a TCA Informational Meeting during the prior admissions season, you may request an application by emailing the Admissions Coordinator. Requests for applications will not be accepted until after the first Info Meeting of the admissions season.


Admissions Timeline

Applications for admission will be processed in groups. Applications will be available starting October 13, 2023.

Group One Enrollment

In order to be considered for the first round of decisions, the online application, application fee, and all required documents must be submitted by October 23, 2023. In addition, families must have attended the October 12, 2023, Info Meeting or a meeting during the prior 24 months. Families who meet these requirements will be placed into the Group One enrollment process and will be mailed notification of the enrollment decision on January 26, 2024. 

Group Two Enrollment

In order to be considered for the second round of decisions, the online application, application fee, and all required documents must be submitted by February 5, 2024. These families will be placed into the Group Two enrollment process and will be mailed notification of the enrollment decision by April 1, 2024. 

Applications submitted by November 20, 2023, will complete the Family Q&A and academic testing in early December or early January. Applications received between November 20, 2023 - February 5, 2024, will complete the admissions process in February and March.

Group Three Enrollment

Applications received after February 5, 2024, will be processed as received. If a grade-level position is available, the student will be advanced in the admissions process. If a class position is not currently available, the student will be placed into the wait pool and will advance to the academic assessment and Family Q&A once a position is available. Wait pool applicants will receive notification of an enrollment opportunity no later than May 10, 2024.

Financial Deadlines

First payment of tuition is due May 1, 2024.

Financial aid applications are due March 15, 2024. Applications are submitted online and are processed by a third party. Financial aid applications must be reviewed for completion and accuracy to be eligible for financial aid. Please be active with the financial application before the March 15, 2024, due date

Applying for Academic Years Beyond Fall 2024

The first fall Informational Meeting is the start of the admissions process for the upcoming academic year. No applications will be accepted before the first fall Info Meeting. Please confirm that you will receive communications concerning future admissions and general updates by signing up for the TCA Email List.

The best way to find out about Trinity Classical Academy is to attend one of our informational meetings. These meetings run for about 90 minutes and give you a chance to hear about the school, get your questions answered, and meet key leaders and staff. Attendance is required before an admissions application will be made available. Children who are unable to sit quietly for 90 minutes should not attend the meeting. Older students are welcome to attend with their parents.

Informational meetings for the 2024-2025 school year will take place at Trinity Classical Academy // 800 N. Front Street // Waterloo, NE // 68069 on the following dates:

  • Thursday, October 12, 2023 ~ 6:30pm

  • Thursday, November 30*, 2023 ~ 6:30pm

  • Thursday, January 25, 2024 ~ 6:30pm
